Our story

The Young European Biotech Network (YEBN) was founded in 2002 with the mission to create a collaborative and supportive environment for young professionals and students in the life sciences and biotechnology fields across Europe. Initially started as a small community of passionate biotech enthusiasts, YEBN quickly grew into a dynamic network connecting individuals and organizations from various countries, driven by the vision of fostering innovation, knowledge-sharing, and career development.

Over the years, YEBN has expanded its reach by partnering with universities, research institutions, and biotech companies to provide valuable opportunities for learning and growth. Through events, workshops, and mentoring programs, YEBN empowers its members to build meaningful connections, gain hands-on experience, and explore career paths in the biotech industry.

The organization has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of European biotechnology by promoting international collaboration, organizing high-impact initiatives such as BioHorizons, and contributing to key discussions around biotech innovation. YEBN’s community now spans across Europe, actively engaging in discussions on how biotechnology can address pressing global challenges.

Today, YEBN continues to be a leading network for young biotech professionals, offering a platform for connection, advocacy, and growth. Our history is rooted in the belief that youth-led innovation and collaboration will drive the future of biotechnology in Europe and beyond.
